It usually takes several months from the call for applications to the legally binding funding decision by the EU Commission.
A total of 59 applications were submitted by the first cut-off date of the AFIF 2024 call on 24 September 2024. In February 2025, the CEF Committee approved the European Commission's selection decision to fund 39 TEN-T projects. A total of EUR 421.7 million will be used for the funding, of which around EUR 331.5 million will go to non-cohesion countries and around EUR 90.2 million to cohesion countries. The 6 German projects selected will receive almost EUR 66 million, which represents an above-average share of 15.73% of total funding.
